American Strength Training Center is proud to sponsor and host the 2026 USA Powerlifting Battle of the Frozen Tundra in Maplewood, Minnesota.
As a USA Powerlifting Silver Regional Training Center, we’re proud to provide a dedicated training and competition environment for Minnesota’s powerlifting community. Whether you’re competing, coaching, volunteering, or coming out to watch, join us for a full day of sanctioned powerlifting at American Strength.

Date: Saturday, December 12, 2026
Location: American Strength Training Center
1636 Gervais Ave, Maplewood, MN
Sanction: MN-2026-07
Lifter Cap: 65 lifters
Registration Deadline: November 7, 2026 at 11:59 PM CST, or when capacity is reached
Competition: Full Power only
Equipment Divisions: Raw, Raw with Wraps and Equipped
EVENT SCHEDULE
The meet will run in two sessions.
Session 1
All Women, Teens, Masters and Men's Open 56–67.5 kg
Doors open for lifters and coaches at 5:45 AM
General admission begins at 7:00 AM
Lifting begins at 8:00 AM
Awards approximately 1:30 PM
Session 2
Men's Open 75–140+ kg and Men's Juniors
Doors open for lifters and coaches at 1:15 PM
General admission begins at 2:30 PM
Lifting begins at 3:30 PM
Awards approximately 7:30 PM
The facility will be cleared between sessions to allow meet staff and volunteers time to reset and take a break.
ATHLETE INFORMATION
All competitors must have an active USA Powerlifting membership before meet day.
This is a drug-tested USA Powerlifting event and is open to both raw and equipped lifters. The meet may be used as a qualifying event for applicable USA Powerlifting national championships.
American Records cannot be set at this event.
